Ah, the 1960s. The era where instant, quick semi-homemade meals became a way of life!
So, to kick off the holiday season, we made an Eggnog Pie. This recipe wasn’t in Baking Yesteryear, but my friend found the recipe on the authors YouTube channel.

So, after getting home from work with my trusty assistant baker by my side we got to work!

I wanted to make this overnight so it had plenty of time to set properly. I use the term “baker” lightly here, there was no actual baking involved here.
Also, can we talk about how cute my daughter is here? She absolutely loves helping me in the kitchen!
Even if she does stick her grubby little fingers in for a taste!

There were a couple of homemade items, I did make my own whipped cream to fold in. I thought about going for the good old fashion 1960s Cool Whip, but the recipe called for homemade so that’s what I did.

This pie tasted like Christmas on a plate! We opted not to add any alcohol to ours since we knew the kiddos would be trying it, but it was still really tasty!

I will definitely be making this again. Next time I may make my own crust with Biscoff cookies!
Until next time, Happy “Baking”
